Orange Pamelo Development Guidline at Betasuka Area of Magetan, East Java

The aims of this study are identify and analyze Betasuka pummelo plantation central, and then evaluate factors which effect its development, formulate the strategy, the concept of it development and the leading of its development. This study used quantitative analyzing in deskriptive, evaluative and development metode. The output of this study are; (1) the appropriate and ready lands for development of pummelo plantation there is 4,276 hectare, land modal from parents inharitance (88%) and capital modal from private financial (74%), the number of plantation labour is 3-6 person (81%) for half hectare of pummelo plantation, seed from transplantation (41%), other production tools are buyed from closest shop (59%), institution such as researching dan trainning bureau and farmer organization, marketing system through tengkulak, B/C ratio reach on 6,35. (2) Factors that effect the development of pummelo plantation central including; land and tecnology factor, institution factor, human resource factor and information and market factor.(3) Result of SWOT analysis shows Betasuka pummelo plantation central in second quadrant. It strategy is selective maintenance strategy. Concept of development is land and technology development concept, institution development concept, human resource development concept and information and market development concept. (4) The leading include activity and phisicdevelopment leading in every aspect of development. A number of leading are land development planning, farm organization training, ‘SPOP Betasuka’ training, realization of testing garden, artesis well and rain water harvesting installation in order to minimalize dried
off problem when dry season.
